Construction company Johnston International, working for Trinidad’s Urban Development Commission of Trinidad and Tobago required a supplier to meet the exacting standards of the material specified for the core and shell of the 18 storey multipurpose split level facility. This facility, designed to house 10 storey office complex, roof top atrium for conferences, 2 storey public library, 3 storey retail space with mall shopping and food court, and 3 storey car park needed fire safe doors and door hardware able to meet high traffic requirements for Trinidad’s second most populous area in the southern city of San Fernando
CSS supplied code compliant commercial grade fire safe material for all 225 common area door openings for the core and shell according to the project schedule.
All fire rated engineered core wood doors were supplied by Graham Doors, all 16 gauge fire rated steel frames were supplied by Ceco Door Products . All fire rated stainless steel template hinges were supplied by McKinney, and all mortise locks, exit devices and deadlocks were supplied by Yale.
