Tansal Akcayli – CEO

Tansal is the founder and co-owner of CSS, a leading partner in designing and delivering security and intelligent building infrastructure in the region.  With a track record of serving the Caribbean market for over a decade, CSS has served clients in over 10 islands across a range of industries.

CSS was founded in 2001 and has experienced consistent growth due to its affiliation with only industry trusted manufacturers.  CSS’s strategic partnership with Tyco Fire and Security, which began at the company’s inception, has contributed to the company’s reputation as the leading security solutions provider in the region.  CSS is the sole distributor for Tyco in the Eastern Caribbean.  In 2005, the company increased its portfolio by offering ANSI-rated door opening solutions through its partnership with ASSA ABLOY for whom they are the sole distributor in the Caribbean.

Tansal’s entry into the security industry commenced in his father’s business, Tansa Security, Turkey, which was established in 1962 and manufactures security turnstiles and entrance systems.  Tansal joined the company in 1994 where he gained his sound foundation of the security industry.  In 1996, he formed a partner company which offered security systems integration.  This company was awarded various large security projects including NATO-funded military security contracts. In 2011, Tansal established Tansa Security North America  which provides security turnstiles across the Americas. Some clients include Mercedes Benz factory in Mexico, Frito Lay in Guatemala, and Central Bank of the Dominican Republic.

Tansal is currently the Honorary Consul General of Turkey in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Vice Chairman of America Region Committee, World Turkish Business Council.  Tansal obtained his Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Schiller University in Switzerland and also attended their campuses in England and Florida.

Tansal, a Turkish citizen, now resides in the Caribbean with his Vincentian wife and four children.

Neil Owen – Director

As co-founder and co-owner of CSS, Neil leads the Sales and Architectural Hardware segments of the business. His extensive experience in the industry spans from designing and installing, to selling and managing large complex projects throughout the region. He managed the Access Control project at the 2007 Cricket World Cup in Barbados where he was instrumental in the design and successful installation of the project.

Neil’s entrepreneurial abilities were evident as early as his teenage years when he was earning an income as a photographer and journalist while attending high school. During his final year at University, Neil accepted a junior managerial position at a start-up internet company in Barbados. His exceptional ability to lead resulted in his promotion to General Manager upon completing his degree. He then embarked on several challenging ventures such as setting up satellite offices for the company in different islands. Neil then ventured into a very successful Sales career where he broke previous sales records. His relenting entrepreneurial drive landed him as co-founder and co-owner of CSS where he was responsible for the phenomenal growth of the Sensormatic retail line of business in Barbados. Neil obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of the West Indies, Barbados, where he graduated with honours.

Neil is a dual citizen of the UK and Barbados. He a long-standing active member of Rotary International, married with three children, and is an avid sportsman, with squash, field hockey and hashing as his favourite sports.

Martin SabgaDirector – CSS Trinidad

As Co-Owner and Managing Director of our Trinidad Office, Martin has 18 years’ experience in the Electronic Security and Loss Prevention Industry. With a wealth of knowledge in Sales and System design, he has been instrumental in implementing security solutions for some of the leading Business and Government institutes in Trinidad & Tobago.

Martin is a graduate of Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology in London, Ontario Canada and is an active member of the American Society for International Security (ASIS).

Patricia DeaneChief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Patricia is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the company while supporting the CEO in the aggressive and successful growth of the company. She collaborates with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.

Prior to joining CSS, Patricia lived and worked in the USA for 20 years. She held positions such as Project Manager, Funding Manager, and Industry Relations Manager over several industries for companies including JPMorgan Chase and MedImpact.

Patricia obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from St. John’s University in New York, and her Master of Science in Global Business Leadership, with a Certification in Project Management, from the University of San Diego, California.  Her expertise lies in Marketing, Project Management, Operations, and Process Re-engineering. Patricia’s professional growth in Corporate America, equips her to enforce our company’s strategy of being efficient while delivering high quality service to our clients.

Patricia was born in St. Vincent, holds both St.Vincent and United States citizenship and resides in Barbados.

Mehmet Atasalihi Project Manager – CSS Emea

As Project Manager for the ASSA ABLOY ANSI BHMA Grade 1 products, Mehmet is responsible for CSS’ Door Security Solutions in Europe, Middle East, Africa and CIS Countries.

Mehmet received his MBA at Yeditepe University, Turkey, and his International Business Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) from Berkeley College, San Francisco. In Addition, Mehmet holds various certificates such as Conflict Management, Customer Orientation, as well as certificates in Middle East and European Union certificate programs.

Prior to joining CSS, Mehmet ran the department of Logistics Operations & Warehouse Management and Outbound Logistics at Sisecam Pasabahce group, where he was instrumental in the implementation of the SAP Logistics Module for the department.

Mehmet’s extensive knowledge in international trade is attributed to his former experience in managing full container exports and imports and organizing the traffic of 51500 CIF TEU’s via all Turkish Ports.

Mehmet also worked with GAMA – TEKFEN ( GATE ) Construction Group during the Refinery Construction in Atyrau, Kazakhstan, in the purchasing, customs, and logistics management departments.


Michelle Sutherland – Sales and Operations Manager – Door Security Solutions

In her role as Sales and Operations Manager for the AH Business Unit, Michelle co-ordinates the smooth transition from job estimating and proposal through the timely delivery to clients.

Michelle possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of the West Indies, and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Surrey, England, as well as a certificate in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity.


Tamisha Boyce –  Sales and Operations Manager – CSS Pulse

In her capacity as Sales and Operations Manager, Tamisha leads our sales team in achieving and exceeding their targets.  Tamisha also is directly responsible for the operation of our Central Monitoring Station where she ensures that all alarms are responded to with the highest level of urgency.

Ms. Boyce successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in 2006. During the course of her studies at this university, she simultaneously studied and successfully attained certificates from the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity in Project Management, Administrative Management and Human Resources Management.

Over the years, Ms. Boyce has also attained several certificates in Personnel Development and Training and has had extensive training in Customer Service.


Carol Ramsahoye –  Group Finance Manager

Carol was appointed CSS Group Finance Manager in 2012 after serving the Barbados business unit as Accountant for 6 years.  She now leads the finance function across CSS’s six business units in the delivery of sound financial information which facilitates strategic business planning and investment decisions.   With over 20 years’ experience in accounting and financial management, including financial auditing, Carol ensures a high level of financial integrity is realized at CSS.

Carol brings experience with multinational companies such as Texaco (Eastern Caribbean) where she covered regional markets including Martinique, Guadeloupe, Dominica, St. Vincent, and Barbados.

Carol has studied the ACCA program and is now focused on completing the CGA designation.

Carol was born in Guyana and has resided in Barbados for over 30 years.  Her experience and abilities are critical to the growth of the company.
